Introduction to App Design
 
If you have an idea and a device you can design an app about anything from anywhere. Curious about how to get started?

Join Ed Farm virtually and learn the basics of how to design an app. Discover Apple's App Design Cycle by working through the design process with Swift app development experts. You will create an app prototype of your own to pitch live on the last day of the course! 





TWO FIVE-DAY SESSIONS
June 15th - 20th & June 22 - 26

This week-long session involves no app coding, only app design. A MacBook, iPad, or iPhone are the preferred device to participate with, any device with wifi access will work. Registration is limited.

Teachers Can Code

Discover Apple's Learn to Code Puzzles curriculum. Participants will learn the basics of the curriculum, receive tips & tricks from Apple Professional Learning specialists, and create their first learning experience design to take back to their students in the fall whether they are teaching in a virtual or physical classroom.

A MacBook or iPad is the preferred device to participate with and wifi is needed. Pending COVID-19 updates Ed Farm may offer access building wifi and Apple devices to participate. this session is relevant to K-12 teachers at any level.

Swift Coding Scavenger Hunt 

Curious about all of this coding hype? No better time than now to find out from your couch what the fuss is all about.

Join Ed Farm virtually and learn the basics of Apple's Swift coding language in an interactive way from some of the Apple Swift experts themselves! Each day will focus on introducing you to a portion of the essential elements of the Swift coding language through a challenge-based learning experience. Each day you'll find something new about Swift and at the end of the week, you might even find that coding is something you're interested in and want to pursue more. If so, you might want to look into applying to our Pathways program!

Teachers will be introduced to Apple Everyone Can Create video and podcast curriculum. Participants will learn about the latest simple video and podcast editing apps, receive tips & tricks for Apple Professional Learning specialists and create their first learning experience design to take back to their students in the fall whether they are teaching in their virtual or physical classroom.
